New Project

This is the progress for an illustration inspired by an article from the New York Times about Oprah's influence on women in the Middle East --particularly Saudi Arabia.

The drawing is executed in burnt umber and tuscan red Verithin pencils. Their precision was key in recreating the patterns throughout the piece.

  1. I can't wait to see the final of this piece. All the patterning is right up the alley of my interests. I think the drawing and color scheme you have chosen are spot on in telling the story you want them to. The only thing I'm unsure of is the stylization of Oprah's face.

But again, the drawing is beautiful and I like how your ideas often tie in with current events.

    Thanks for sharing it.
